Welcome to Sweetgrass & Qi Flow Arts.
Our approach centers on slow, supportive movement that helps restore balance, reduce stress, and support overall well-being through the calm, mindful Qigong.
Qigong is a traditional movement practice that originated in China and has been cultivated for centuries to support health, internal awareness, and energy flow.
It combines gentle physical movement, breathing techniques, and focused attention to promote relaxation and improved mobility.
Qigong is closely related to Tai Chi, a traditional martial art sharing similar philosophical roots and an emphasis on intentional, flowing motion. Qigong is often regarded as a nurturing or "mother" practice that supports the development of balance, breath coordination, and mindful movement found across many traditional Chinese disciplines.
This practice is especially supportive for individuals seeking a softer approach to exercise. Qigong may be ideal for seniors, beginners, those living with chronic pain, or people managing anxiety and fatigue. Movements can be practiced while seated or standing, making the experience accessible for different physical abilities and comfort levels.
